All components of Javelin Workbench have been built using the Java programming language. This enables Javelin to run on practically any desktop regardless of the operating system as long as it supports Java Web Start with the appropriate version of Java. Some of the popular operating systems that are supported are Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Linux and Solaris.
Install Java
We use Java Web Start to launch Javelin Workbench as well as to make sure that you are always running the latest version of Javelin. If you are using Apple Mac OS X, there are no additional downloads to perform. On other platforms, you may need to install the Java Runtime Environment.
Java is available for download from http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp.
Launch Javelin
If this is the first time you are launching Javelin, or if a newer version is available, the application will begin downloading as soon as you click the link. Subsequently, the tool will be launched from your machine's cache, so it will launch more quickly.
